Dragonfly is a modern in-memory datastore alternative for Redis and Memcached and is probably the fastest in-memory store in the universe. It implements novel algorithms and data structures on top of a multi-threaded, shared-nothing architecture. As a result, Dragonfly is 30% more memory efficient and 25x more performant compared to Redis even on a single device. It's extremely simple to set up, maintain, and scale. In addition, it supports millions of QPS and hundreds of GBs of memory workloads.

Dragonfly Cloud is a fully managed cloud SaaS product built on top of Dragonfly’s core in- memory datastore technology. In Dragonfly Cloud customers simply configure the provisioned memory capacity they require and Dragonfly Cloud takes care of the rest. With automated tuning, scaling, backups, and more, Dragonfly Cloud allows customers to ship faster, more scalable and reliable applications at significantly lower costs.

To complete our offering we are looking for a Technical Writer to join our growing team. The right technical writer will build the documentation framework and content to allow Dragonfly community users and Dragonfly Cloud customers a smooth migration and delighting self-serve user experience.

You Will

• Plan, Design, Style and Build the Dragonfly’s community and cloud documentation and later academy websites.
• Create premier documentation in collaboration with the engineering team.
• Collaborate with the DragonflyDB customers to constantly improve and refresh the documentation.
• Write, format, edit and assist others with company documentation, including microcopy, procedures, and APIs.
• Continuously improve and automate the documentation processes.

You Have

• Native English, excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
• 5+ years of experience writing technical documentation for a developer audience.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts with clear, comprehensive, developer-focused documentation.
• Experience using Markdown, GitHubCreativity, curiosity, wit, and a sense of collaboration in your creative process.
• A degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, or related experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of Redis or Redis-related frameworks in any language is a strong plus.
