Question: What game engine does Starfield use?
Answer
As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, Bethesda Game Studios, the developer of Starfield, was known to use the Creation Engine for their games. This engine was used in previous titles such as Skyrim and Fallout 4. However, for Starfield and future games, Bethesda announced they would be using a significantly updated version of the Creation Engine, which they referred to as "Creation Engine 2". Please check the most recent and official sources for any updates or changes beyond this point.
