The Role
We’re looking for a Head of Field Marketing to own and scale Dragonfly’s event-driven demand engine. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who thrives on ownership, loves engaging directly with the technical community, and knows how to turn events into measurable pipeline.
You’ll own the full lifecycle of field marketing, from strategy and planning through execution and performance analysis, across conferences, digital events, and partner-led programs. Your success will be measured not by activity, but by efficient, high-quality pipeline generation.
This role is ideal for a builder who enjoys aggressive goals, clear accountability, and operating at the intersection of marketing, sales, partnerships, and product.
What You’ll Own
Field Marketing Programs
- Conference sponsorships and on-site activations
- Digital events and webinars
- Partner-hosted and Dragonfly-hosted in-person events (a lot of room for creativity here)
- Event experimentation: formats, audiences, messaging, and tactics
Strategy & Execution
- Build and own the annual and quarterly field marketing plan
- Decide which events matter and which don’t in the cloud and infrastructure ecosystem
- Own budgets, timelines, vendors, and logistics end-to-end
- Partner closely with Sales, Product Marketing, DevRel, and Partnerships to ensure tight alignment
Measurement & Optimization
- Own KPIs, with a primary focus on cost per SQL generated from events
- Track performance rigorously and iterate based on data
- Continuously refine event mix and investment based on ROI
